Dr Amandeep Singh Bakshi, Prof. Government Medical College, Patiala has brought laurels for the city. He has taken the reins of North Zone Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) during the 43rd Conference of North Zone Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) at DMC, Ludhiana.

After assuming the charge, Dr Bakshi said” let’s continue to stand united, as one voice, for the betterment of our profession. The form and function of Orthopaedics is changing. We are moving from – Reduce, Repair, Reconstruct & Replace to Restore, Revive, Rejuvenate & Rehabilitate. I believe the North Zone Indian Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) is going higher, deeper & beyond in its journey to excellence.”

The three day annual conference was held at DMC, Ludhiana from 2-4th May,2025 . More than 400 delegates’ participated and 150 faculty across India contemplated on various advanced Ortho innovations.

North Zone Orthopaedic Association (NZOA) includes the member from J& K , Himachal Pardesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, New Delhi and Uttrakhand.

About NZOA

NZOA is a non-profit academic organization that unites orthopedic surgeons from the North Indian states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Uttarakhand. The NZOA mission is to promote excellence in orthopedic education, foster research, and elevate patient care standards. The aim of the association is to promote and development of orthopaedic surgery on scientific lines, to dissipate the knowledge of recent developments amongst the members, to help in devising ways and means to apply the knowledge gained to Indian conditions, to study the orthopaedic problems encountered in the region & device ways & means to suitably manage them, to device ways to cut down the cost of treatment so as to make it affordable to masses, to establish and maintain reference library/libraries relating to orthopaedic surgery, to promote ethical practice amongst the members, to promote brotherhood amongst the members etc
