Dr.Ambedkar’s birth anniversary celebrated

Birth anniversary of Dr.BR Ambedkar was celebrated at the district administrative complex Rupnagar on Thursday..
Deputy Commissioner Rupnagar Dr. Preeti Yadav paid paid homage to Dr Ambedkar by On this occasion, she said that Dr. Ambedkar was India’s first law minister and is architect of the Indian constitution. He was the Messiah of the weaker sections and very much against racism and discrimination.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma, SP Ankur Gupta, SDM Rupnagar Gurwinder Singh Johal, DRO Gurjinder Singh and Advocate Charanjit Singh Ghai were also present. Bhim Rao also paid tributes to Ambedkar.
On this occasion certificates were given by Dr.Preeti Yadav to the school students for wall paintings
In this painting competition, Govt. senior secondary school for girls secured first position,Shivalik Public School got second position , DAV School Rupnagar got third position .
A function was also organised at local Ambedkar Chowak to mark the occasion. Chief guest Rupnagar MLA Dinesh Chadha,special guest noted social worker .Dr.RS Parmar ,Dr Rajesh Baggan and others threw light on the life of Dr.Ambedkar.
