Dr Daljit Singh Cheema demands case be registered against all those trying to defame Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar

Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema today demanded a case be registered against all those trying to defame the Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar and the supreme temporal seat of the Sikh community on social media.Addressing media persons here, the SAD leader said posters had appeared on the social media attributing false statements to Sri Akal Takht Jathedar – Giani Raghbir Singh ji. Demanding action in the matter, Dr Daljit Cheema said anti – panthic forces were at work to defame the Takht Jathedar which was intolerable.
Dr Cheema said on its part immediately after the announcement of the decision to summon S Sukhbir Singh Badal and the senior leadership of the SAD to the Takht, the SAD had issued directions to all its spokespersons not to question the decision in any manner whatsoever. “We had also announced that we will appear about the supreme Sikh body with utmost respect and humility”.
Asserting that this did not seem to be to the liking of anti-panthic forces, Dr Cheema said “it is due to which attempts are being made to defame the SAD and influence the decision of the Takht Jathedar. We appeal to the ‘sangat’ to reject these forces”.
