Dr Dharamvira Gandhi forms Nawan Punjab Party, will remain with PDA

Dr Dharamvira Gandhi Lok Sabha Member Parliament from Patiala formed a Nawan Punjab Party and announced to contest from Patiala Lok sabha seat. As per sources he will remain with the Sukhpal Singh Khaira , Bains brother’s Punjab Democratic Alliance.

Earlier in the day The Punjab Democratic Alliance announced candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Under the seat sharing CPI has been given Ferozepur seat while RMPI of Mangat Ram Pasla will get to contest from Gurdaspur parliamentary segment. Bains brother Lok Insaaf Party will field its candidates from Ludhiana and Amritsar.

In Dec 2018 suspended Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Sukhpal Singh Khaira, Dharamvira Gandhi and Kanwar Sandhu along with the Bains brothers of the Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) announced the formation of a new front, Punjab Democratic Alliance, to provide what they termed as “an alternative to the Congress and the Akali Dal” during the parliamentary elections.

The Patiala Lok Sabha seat will now be a four corner contest between Congress, SAD-BJP, Dr Dharamvira Gandhi led Nawan Punjab party and Aam Aadmi party candidate.
