Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib today organised a farewell party for Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu, who devoted 8 years as Director Principal to this institution. Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, President, Shiromani  Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee presided over the day.

In his address, Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar highlighted the achievements of Mata Gujri College under the sound leadership of Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu. He said, “Dr. Sidhu has served this institution with great dedication, determination and honesty. Mata Gujri College has touched the new heights of success under his able guidance.”

“I am confident that Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu will make efficient use of his experience in the field of education to ensure the growth of  Directorate of Education, SGPC fulfilling the aims and objectives for which Directorate was established”, he added.

On this emotional occasion, the new elected Director Principal Dr. Kashmir Singh welcomed all the guests and congratulated Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu for his elevation as Directorate of Education-SGPC. “Dr. Sidhu served selflessly for the welfare of the students and staff, and worked tirelessly for raising the standards of this college. SGPC appointed him as Directorate of education for his outstanding contribution in the field of education”, said Dr. Kashmir Singh.

Thanking the SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar , staff and students of the college for the love they have shower on him, Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu shared some experiences with all the faculty members. He thanked Prof. Kirpal Singh  Badungar for appointing him at Director, DESGPC and promised him to maintain the integrity of the directorate.

Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu and his better half Sardarni Rajpal Kaur were also honoured on this occasion. Prominent amongst others,  Ranjit Singh Libra, Honorary Secy., College Managing Committee, Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal,  Khalsa College, Patiala and staff members shared their views on this auspicious occasion.
