Dr. Kashmir Singh, the newly appointed Director Principal of Mata Gujri College Fatehgarh Sahib today assumed the charge of his office here in the presence of SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar and a galaxy of scholars and personalities from Directorate of Education, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and its colleges.
Congratulating Dr. Kashmir Singh for holding new responsibility, Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar describes Dr. Kashmir Singh as an eminent scholar and an experienced academician. He said that the selection of Dr. Singh has been made on the basis of his services in the field of education. He further said that the Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Sri Anandpur Sahib has touched the new heights of success and glory under the able guidance and leadership of Dr. Kashmir Singh.
“Mata Gujri College has already set benchmarks in the various fields of education, sports and extracurricular activities. I am confident that he will further boost this trajectory path to new levels”, added Prof. Badungar.
Dr. Kashmir Singh thanked the SGPC President Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar for posing faith on him. He assured that he would not left any stone unturned to ensure the rapid growth of the college. He also requested for the cooperation of everyone including the management, staff and students for the overall development of the college.
On this occasion, Dr. Jatinder Singh Sidhu, Director, Directorate of Education, SGPC and former Director Principal of the college handed over charge to Dr. Kashmir Singh. He also shared his experiences with an emotional cord and congratulated him for taking an important responsibility.
Dr. Paramjit Singh, Additional Secretary, SGPC and Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal, Khalsa College also congratulated Dr. Kashmir Singh and conveyed their best wishes for his success.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dr. Kashmir Singh had jointed Mata Guri College as an Assistant Professor in the department of Commerce in 1992. After giving valuable service to college for 9 years, he joined Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib as Dean Academics in 2011. Presently, he was serving as Principal, Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Sri Ananadpur Sahib since December 03, 2013.
