Two different sessions of the newly being instituted e-way bill generation,training under the GST Acts/Rules, 2017 for about 100 dealers, advocates and transporters of the Patiala Division were organised at the Head Office Patiala.

Addl. ETC-1, Kumar Saurabh Raj IAS, Director (GST),Gurpal Singh Chahal, IAS, today. The Master trainer L.K. Jain (DETC Patiala Division) gives the presentation and the e-way bill was generated online on the test site. All the queries were also answered satisfactorily on the spot.The Addl. ETC-1 said as GST itself is new to one and all the new e-way bill system is still to be implemented, though a lot of care has been taken, some problems may turn up practically and the same will be solved accordingly.

He further said the e-way bill has to be generated for value more than Rs. 50,000/- for every inter-state transaction from 01 Feb, 2018.A sufficient time of 24 hrs for every 100 Kms will be valid for the e-way bill. There will be no need for the e-way bill within the 10 Kms area, and if the goods are being moved in a non-motorized vehicle. The e-way bill will also be mandatory even for the un-registered person/customers.
