Education cell at Central University for 10,+2 students

District administration Bathinda has started education cell at Central University of Punjab and education network remedial classes in ten clusters for free of cost for students of class X and XII on January 26, Republic Day. The classes have been started with an aim to achieve excellent results in education sector.

The education cell has been headed by Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Diparva Lakra and ADC development Dr. Shena Aggarwal, Sub Divisional Magistrates, both District Education Officers (DEOs) elementary and primary, both Deputy DEOs and a representative from Central University Bathinda will be the members of the cell.

SDM Bathinda Sakshi Sawhney, disclosing the information about the cell, said that it has been decided to provide training in English, Mathematics and Science subjects for students of Class X who will be undergoing board exams in the current academic session. She added that for class XII students, the preparation classes will be available in English subject only. She informed that the training classes will be coordinated by SDM Bathinda in association with DEOs and deputy DEOs.

While informing about the experts, Sakshi Sahwney said that an education network of nodal officers from all colleges especially those teaching M.Ed and B.Ed. has been constituted and these colleges will also provide volunteers who help those students who are lagging behind in their syllabus of these subjects.

She added that the module for board remedial has been created by Prayas and Central University wherein volunteers were being given a concise module that has to be delivered in 8 days. She said that all 8 days will be holidays and there will no interference with school days.

SDM said that the program will also be extended to increase enrollment ratio by providing bridge courses to drop outs with the help of these volunteers.
