Election Commission appoints three observers for Rupnagar district

Election Commission of India has appointed three observers for the assembly elections-in Rupnagar district .These observers reached Rupnagar on Monday reached and reviewed the arrangements made for the elections.
According to information the Election Commission of India appointed Pandhari Yadav, IAS( as general Observer) having mobile phone number 88476-97969, Narinder Kumar Naik, IRS as expenditure Observer having mobile phone number . 70092-71924, and Dharminder Singh, IPS, as police observer having mobile phone number. 88476-39004, for the Assembly Elections in Rupnagar.
These Observers directed District Election Officer Rupnagar Sonali Giri to ensure strict compliance of the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.
The District Election Officer handed over the checklist to the observers along with the details of the constituencies, including the details of the polling stations, EVMs details d staff details etc.
She also apprised the observers about arrangement made for implementation of model code of conduct, preventive action taken, randomization of Polling personnel, arrangement for procurement of election material and printing of forms etc., training of police Personnel, dispatch arrangements, strong room locations and security arrangements, counting arrangements etc.
The office of general observer Pandhari Yadav has been made functional at the canal rest house Rupnagar.
