Excise raid leads to recovery of huge illicit liquor in Punjab

Today early morning a joint excise raid of district Hoshiarpur and Gurdaspur conducted in compliance with directions of excise commissioner Punjab Rajat Aggarwal IAS and Deputy commissioner excise Jalandhar zone Shalin Walia and Dasuya as well as village Mojpur of district Gurdaspur
This raid was live supervised by assistant commissioner excise Hoshiarpur AS Kang and assistant commissioner excise Gurdaspur Pawanjit Singh
All the excise inspectors and EO excise of both district actively participated. Excise raid leads to recovery of huge illicit liquor in Punjab. During this raid
2lac kg lahan seized
400 bottles of illicit liquor recovered
5 working stills recovered
Boilers used for working stills along with other apparatus recovered by excise teams
Huge quantity of fire wood also seen used by smugglers and the mand area to distillery illicit liquor which has been reported to forest department separately
