Taking serious view of today’s Lakhimpur Kheri incident Samyukt Kisan Morcha today demanded the expulsion of Union Minister of State (MoS) for Home Ajay Mishra Teni from the union council of ministers. They also demanded that his son  Ashish Mishra, and others who were involved in the incident be booked under section 302 .

Tomorrow (Monday) farmers will staged a dharna from 10 am to 1 pm outside DC’s/ DMs office in all India and they will hand over a letter to them to be forwarded to the prime minister of India.

The SKM leaders also demanded a fair judicial probe by sitting Supreme Court judge. They also raised their apprehensions about the probing of the incident by the UP Police and demanded that the case be investigated by some other agencies as they don’t have faith in UP Police.

The SKM leaders said ,”as per reports 4 farmers  died and more than dozen farmers were injured, some in serious condition, after Ashish Mishra allegedly ran over protesting farmers with his car in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.”

SKM has already appealed to the farmers to maintain peace and said that “the victory will be of the farmers”.” said Darshan Pal.

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and deputy chief minister –cum home minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa expressed deep anguish at the tragic incident at Lakhimpur Kheri District in Uttar Pradesh where allegedly, the son of a Union Minister ran over his vehicle into the farmers peacefully protesting against the three black farm laws leaving them dead and injured.

Channi further said this ghastly and inhuman act must be condemned by one and all in the strongest possible words. He also urged his counterpart in Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath to bring the culprits to the book so as to ensure justice to the victim families of the deceased.

Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, relatives and friends, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed souls.

Randhawa demanded immediate arrest of the culprits ,registration of case for murder against them and suitable compensation to the families of deceased and injured .He said, this was a cold blooded murder of the farmers at the hands of the BJP leader who ran over peacefully protesting farmers.
