‘Fantasia’ bridges Punjab and Latin America: Book released by Karamjeet Anmol

‘Fantasia’, the debut book of young writer Satdeep Gill, was released at Bhasha Bhavan, Patiala. Renowned actor Karamjeet Anmol, chief guest of the event, unveiled the book, calling it “a bridge between the cultures and languages of Punjab and Latin America.”
The ceremony was jointly organized by Public Help Foundation, Mat Bhasha Jagrukta Manch, Punjabi Wikimedians User Group, and Katho Publications, with support from the Punjab Language Department. Director of the Department and noted poet Jaswant Singh Zafar presided over the event.
Special guests included District Planning Board chairman Tajinder Mehta, SEABA School Lehragaga director Kanwaljeet Singh Dhindsa, and SMO Ghanour Dr. Kiranjot Kaur Uppal. Eminent personalities from literature, education, art, and social service were also present.
Anmol praised the book for inspiring both readers and writers. In his presidential remarks, Zafar described Fantasia as an experimental work that opens new possibilities in Punjabi literature.
Mehta assured support from the Planning Board to promote literary culture. Writer Balram Bodhi called for wider promotion of works that spread positivity in society.
Satdeep shared his journey of writing the book, which draws on his travels to seven Latin American countries and his experiences of learning languages. Prof. Bawa Singh noted that the book will encourage youth towards exploration and travel.
The event was anchored by Nitesh Gill, Program Officer at IIIT Hyderabad. Aman Arora, media incharge of Punjabi Wikimedians, delivered the vote of thanks.
Among those who shared their views were Prof. Rajinderpal Singh Brar, Prof. Charanjit Kaur Brar, Dr. Pawan Tibba, writer Jagdish Papra, advocate Joginder Singh Jindu, Dr. Prabhjot Gill, Dr. Varinder Khurana, Dr. Gurlal Mann, and actor Sahej Aziz.
