Farmers can apply within 15 days for Kissan Credit Card: Jaswant Singh

The Union Government has decided to issue credit cards to all eligible beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan sanman Yojana in a special drive which has been started for 15 days.
Jaswant Singh, Lead district Manager informed that under this special drive, all eligible beneficiaries would have to fill up the forms available with the banks and credit cards will be issued to the eligible farmers by the concerned banks. The cards will enable to farmers to avail agriculture loans at very competitive rate of interest. Besides it, the farmers who could not operate their credit cards for long time which has now become non functional may also contact their respective branches to make their cards operational.
The farmers, who have already taken credit cards and are involved in dairy farming etc. even they can apply under this drive. DDM NABARD, Sanjeev Kumar Sharma informed that for beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Sanman Yojana, The Union Govt. has issued a one page application form, which is also available websites, www.agricoop.gov.in and www.pmkisan.gov.in. This facility is also being made available at Suvidha/Sewa Kendras. Surinder Kumar Bansal, FLC was also present in the meeting.
