Finally, Punjab Cabinet is complete after 1 year
New Delhi-After much dilly delaying, Punjab Cabinet is complete now. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi cleared the names of 9 MLA’s from Punjab to be inducted as Minister. At present there are nine ministers, including Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, and with the induction of nine new ministers, the Punjab government will touch the maximum strength of 15 per cent of the state assembly.
Capt. Amarinder Singh himself tweeted the announcement of the new ministers and congratulated them.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh on Saturday at 6 pm.
The nine new ministers- 3 are from Majha, 5 from Malwa and 1 from Doaba region.

Capt Amarinder Singh Chief Minister also tweeted about the elevation of Aruna Chaudhary and Razia Sultana, both ministers of state, as Cabinet Minster.
Capt. Amarinder Singh is in Delhi since 18th April to finalise the names for cabinet expansion. Today a three-hour meeting chaired by Congress president Rahul Gandhi to finalise names for nine vacant slots in Punjab’s council of ministers, that ended without consensus Thursday, after which chief minister Amarinder Singh held a second round of discussion with Rahul Gandhi today before announcing the names.
