Wikipedia has distorted, edited, changed the date of birth of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. His date of birth was September 28,1907 but Wikipedia has changed his date to September 27, 1907 .When raised question, Wikipedia removed his date of birth in hurry and now no date , month is shown but kept September 27, 1907 in the details.
In another incident that is available on Wikipedia is about the about former chief minister of Punjab and senior congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh.
As per Wikipedia’s today information, Capt Amarinder Singh joins BJP. Whereas he just met home minister of India, Amit Shah on September 29,2021. But Wikipedia changes his affiliation with political party from congress to BJP.
After the word spread on social media, Wikipedia hurriedly changed his status from BJP to present.
Other contradictory information Wikipedia is providing is about his date of leaving the CM office. In his brief biodata the date is September 19,2021 where as in the details, its September 18,2021 on which he gave his resignation.
“This shows the irresponsible behavior of Wikipedia or someone who has any vested interest, that the misinformation is being spread. Till now, Wikipedia was the best place to get authentic information but these acts has changed our mindset. How can they do this? It’s just unfair that they had edited the date of birth of legendary Bhagat Singh ” said Harsehaj a student.
