Fire broke at backyard of PPSC Head Office at Patiala

A major tragedy is averted when a fire broke out at backyard of Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) Head Office at Patiala, in the evening. Alertness of PPSC staff averted a major tragedy as they called up the Fire Brigade.
The fire broke out at the backyard boundary wall of PPSC office in a heap of dry leaves. The fire spread out quickly due to combustible nature of dry leaves. Windy weather further aggravated the situation and the fire brigade officials face a tough time to control the fire in leaves.
“Cause of the fire, is yet to ascertain, but prima facie, the fire broke out due to someone may tried to burn the dried leaves” said a Fire Brigade official, on the condition of anonymity.
Later a JCB machine is pressed into service to lift the burnt leaves and to clear the area, where fire broke out.
