First day first statement-emergency and ambulance services will be more robust to save the precious lives-Dr. Balbir Singh

Punjab’s new Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education and Research and Elections Dr Balbir Singh has said that the emergency and ambulance services in the state will be strengthened to save the precious life of a patient within the golden hours.

After becoming the health minister, Dr Balbir Singh reached his city Patiala for the first time today. Health Minister emphasized that his priority would be to implement the programs outlined by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at the grassroots level to provide high-quality health facilities to the residents of the state.

Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh was welcomed here at Circuit House by MLAs Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra and Kulwant Singh Bazigar, I.G. Mukhwinder Singh Chhina, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney and S.S.P. Varun Sharma. While the Patiala police gave a guard of honour to Dr Balbir Singh.

He said that the special action plan drawn up by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for a permanent solution to drugs will be implemented accordingly because drug consumption is a problem related to mental health and drug trafficking is a problem related to the police, so both departments will work together.

Dr Balbir Singh thanked the party high command, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the people of Punjab, he said that he will live up to the trust reposed in him and fulfil his responsibility with dedication and diligence. He said that under the plans drawn up by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to make Punjab a Rangala Punjab, major changes will also be seen in the health department and new programs will be brought every week for public welfare.

Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh held a meeting with the officials and gave instructions to give priority to quality health services besides transparently providing people-friendly administrative services.

Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh also paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Dukh Niwaran Sahib and Mandir Sri Kali Devi. His wife Rupinderjit Kaur Saini, son Rahul Saini, Balwinder Saini and advocate Manpreet Singh were also present with him.
