First of its kind attack in India

“Two low intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area” this information is shared by Indian Airforce authorities.
“There was no damage to any equipment. Investigation is in progress along with civil agencies” information is shared by Indian Airforce authorities, after the attack.
As per available information, today, early morning at around 1.30 am “two drones were used to carry out an attack inside the Air Force base in Jammu and they exploded “close to the helicopter hangar”
It’s a first of its kind attack in India, in which drones were used.
Multiple teams from bomb disposal squad, forensics, IAF, police and security agencies were rushed to the spot.
In 2016, four to six terrorists suspected to be affiliated with the Jaish-E-Mohammed terror outfit had launched a suicide attack on the Pathankot airbase. The subsequent operation had lasted for over 36 hours, in which five attackers were killed, and three security force personnel also lost their lives.
