Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala, successfully organized the Fit India Sunday Cycling event under the ongoing Fit India Movement. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 60-70 cyclists, including officers from the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Amarpreet Singh, AIG, GRP, Jagmohan Singh, DSP, GRP Patiala, and Anita Saini, DSP, GRP, graced the occasion as special guests.

They were warmly welcomed and honoured by Vineet Kumar, Deputy Director General/SED, NSNIS Patiala, who also addressed the gathering.

In his address, Vineet Kumar highlighted the core objectives of the Fit India Movement and emphasized the importance of regular physical activity for holistic well-being. He urged the community to adopt a lifestyle that prioritizes daily exercise and fitness. The event saw participation from administrative officers, diploma trainees, academic faculty, and NCOE coaches. The cycle rally commenced from NSNIS, covered a 7 km circuit across Patiala city, and concluded back at the institute. The event wrapped up on a warm and cordial note with refreshments served to all participants. The NSNIS Patiala continues to promote fitness-centric initiatives aligned with the vision of a healthier and fitter India.
