Former Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (SGPC) and secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal Prof Kirpal Singh Badungar’s wife  Nirmal kaur had died yesterday on August 8,2023.

The cremation will be held today at Badungar Cremation ground, Patiala at 11 AM.

Former SGPC president, senior SAD leader bereaved. Badungar served as the secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal for five years between 1996 and 2001. He worked as the president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee from 2001 to 2003 and then from 2016 to 2017.

World Gatka Federation, Asian Gatka Federation, National Gatka Association of India and International Sikh Martial Art Council have expressed deep sorrow over the passing away of the wife of former president of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Jathedar Kirpal Singh Badungar.

In a joint condolence message, World Gatka Federation President Harjeet Singh Grewal, General Secretary Dr. Deep Singh USA, President of Asian Gatka Federation Jaswant Singh Goga and Secretary of International Sikh Martial Arts Council Baljit Singh said the entire Sikh community is united in their grief over the irreparable loss to Jathedar Badungar and his family. They recalled the valuable contribution of late Bibi Badungar for dissemination of Sikh values and said she was a thoughtful Sikh woman, who has contributed a lot for the promotion of Sikhi and service of the panth.

Sharing grief with Jathedar Badungar and family, Harjeet Singh Grewal, Dr. Deep Singh America, Jaswant Singh Goga and Baljit Singh prayed to the God to grant eternal abode to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family while enduring this unbearable pain.

Remembering the Gursikh life and legacy of Bibi Badungar, the above Gatka promoters emphasized the need to preserve her memory and continue the noble work started by her for the betterment of the Sikh community.
