Framers’ protest: Internet ban extended in Punjab in areas under 20 police stations

Union home ministry has extended the ban on mobile internet services in areas falling under 20 Punjab police stations situated on the Punjab-Haryana borders in seven districts of Punjab till February 26
This is the third expansion. Earlier, the internet services were suspended from February 12 till 16 and from 17 to 24 in view of the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ march.
In view of the farmers’ agitation and march towards New Delhi, internet services have been suspended till February 26,2024 in select areas under some police stations of Patiala, Sangrur, Bathinda, Mansa, Sri Muktsar sahib, SAS Nagar and Fatehgarh Sahib districts on the directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
The ban on mobile internet services has been extended in Shambhu, Julkan, Passiana, Patran, Shutrana, Samana, Ghanour, Devigarh and Balbhera police stations in Patiala and Lalru police station in SAS Nagar, Sangat police station in Bathinda, Killianwali in Sri Muktsar Sahib, Sardulgarh and Boha in Mansa, Khanauri, Moonak, Lehra, Sunam, Chajli in Sangrur and Fatehgarh police station in Fatehgarh Sahib districts.
