Today, General Insurance Employees All India Association ,Northern Zone held its Working Committee (WC) meeting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

More than 80 Zonal Leaders General Insurance Employees All India Association from entire Northern Zone participated in the meeting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The Working Committee Meeting was inaugurated by Veteran Trade Union Leader and President of AITUC (UP), B.K. Singh and leaders of Banking and General Insurance Industry addressed the gathering.

Trilok Singh General Secretary GIEA NZ  said “ the association gave a clarion call for Merger of all Public Sector General Insurance Companies to sustain in today’s competitive environment and to provide cheaper and effective services to Policyholders and the Citizens at large also to take stern action against the Private Players who are proven defaulters for not paying the GST to treasury in thousands of crore.”

“The House demanded to strengthen Public Sector General Insurance Companies to penetrate more and to realize the social objectives of the Nationalization. The Working Committee also reiterated its demands to Roll Back the clause of Performance Linked Wage Revision and irrational actions in the name of KPI and Restructuring” said Trilok Singh.

Adding further , Trilok Singh said ,”The House further strongly demanded formation of regulatory authority on the private hospitals and TPA’s to check the irregularities in settlement of Mediclaim.”

General Insurance Employees Association announces series of action to achieve pro-employee rights. “The House, in one voice declared a series of actions to achieve Recruitment in all Cadres , Opening of Offices in unrepresented areas, Uniform increase of Family Pension to 30%, Demand 14% NPS and One More Option for Pension and also to hold Conventions and Seminars in entire Northern Zone” said Trilok Singh.
