Genuine demands of Punjab Brahmin Welfare Board will be resolved-CM

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday assured the Punjab Brahmin Welfare Board of prompt resolution of its all genuine demands.
A 60 member delegation led by Chairman of the Board Advocate Shekhar Shukla called on CM Channi and felicitated him here at Punjab Bhawan, this evening.
On the occasion, CM Channi announced to convene a meeting of Punjab Brahim Welfare Board on November 28 to finalise their demands. CM Channi said the Punjab government would also provide requisite funds for Bhagwan Parshuram Chair already established at Punjabi University, Patiala to undertake extensive research on his life and philosophy so as to spread the message of love, brotherhood and compassion amongst the mankind in every nook and corner of the world. He also promised to look into their other demands sympathetically especially extending financial assistance to poor families for education besides allocation of funds for the Board. The Chief Minister also asked the Chairman of the board to prepare a comprehensive plan for the holistic development of project of Khati Dham within a week to be executed by the PWD department.
Meanwhile, the Chairman also thanked CM Channi for giving Rs. 10 crore for the development of Bhagwan Parshuram Ji Tap Sthali (Khati Dham) at Phagwara-Hoshiarpur Road.
Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included Food & Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, MLA Ludhiana North Rakesh Pandey besides Vice Chairman of Board Ajay Sharma and Ravish Sharma, Ravi Pandit, Hari Dev Agnihotri, Sunil Dutt and Krishan Kumar.
