My Stamp’ is the brand name for personalized sheets of Postage Stamps of India Post launched first in 2011. In June 2016 India Post opened up the ongoing scheme of customized printing of ‘My Stamp’ for individuals and corporate also. Under the scheme an individual or a corporate entity can get their photo or logo printed inside the postage stamp. The plan to go ahead with the scheme of ‘My Stamp’ was reached on specific demands of several like Western Union, SNDT Women’s University, Allahabad High Court and others. Earlier, India Post only allowed printing of photo or design next to postage stamp on a 300 rupees ‘My Stamp’ sheet. So far the department has issued customized My Stamp for e-commerce platform Amazon India, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
Logos of Institutions or images of art work, heritage buildings, famous tourist places etc. can be printed alongside the selected commemorative postage stamp sheet lets. My stamp sheet lets are available on selected themes.
Punjab Postal Circle has undertaken an initiative to open special counters for ‘My Stamp’. B S Ghuman, Vice chancellor, Punjabi University inaugurated My stamp counter at University Post Office. M S Nijjar, Registrar, G S Batra, Dean Academic and Aarti Verma, SSPoS, Patiala was also present on the occasion. Aarti Verma told that My stamp can be used by the corporate for promotion of their institutions. Personalized my stamp can be used as postage for sending greetings/wedding invitations to your beloved ones. She appealed to the customers to visit post office and get their personalized stamp just in Rs. 300/- only.
Ghuman, VC Punjabi University while addressing the youth told that the initiative of the Department of Posts brings one and all under one platform where they can put their or their beloved ones snap alongside postage stamp. This stamp can be globally used for posting greetings/invitations etc.
My Stamp counters are already functioning at Patiala and Rajpura Head Post Offices.
