Gippy Grewal arrested by Patiala police

The Patiala police have booked an FIR against Pollywood actor Gippy Grewal for flouting weekend lockdown, Covid-19 rules. The actor is accused of defying the Covid lockdown while shooting for a film “Girdhari Lal” at a private location in village Karala, on Banur Tepla road, under Banur police station jurisdiction, in Patiala district.
While shooting, Gippy Grewal, along with all the crew members of the show, didn’t follow the Covid-19 rules and regulations. In fact, the shooting went on in the weekend lockdown period. When the police was notified about the same, they reached the spot and found more than 100 people at the location of the shoot. A case was later filed against Gippy Grewal and its crew members under section 188 IPC, 51 Disaster Management Act , 03 Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 at Banur Police Station.
Police arrested Gippy Grewal on the spot. As per available information, former MC Gurmeet Singh fulfilled his bail application formalities and police granted him bail.
