GKU Youth Festival ‘Explorica’ 2018 concluded
Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo’s Annual function cum Youth Festival ‘Explorica’ 2018 concludes with great fervour keeping sweet memories behind. On the 2nd and final day of the function, Union Minister (Food Processing and Industry, Govt.of India) Sardarni Harsimrat Kaur Badal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. She advised the youth to equally concentrate on Academics, Sports and other Co-curricular activities for their overall development. She also advised the students to do meditation and to take help of God’s words for more concentration in studies. She also congratulated the University Staff and students for this Gala event. The function was formally inaugurated by Madam Badal, S.Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Chairman, Dr. J.S. Dhaliwal Chancellor, S.Sukhraj Singh Sidhu (M.D), S.Sukhwinder Singh Sidhu (General Secretary), Col. Dr. Bhupinder Singh Dhaliwal Vice Chancellor by lamp lightening.
Students with Academics, Sports and Cultural Excellency were awarded by the Chief Guest during the function. Choreography ‘Nanhi Chann’ by the students of University College of Computer Application was the show stealer and highly applauded by the Chief Guest. Dr. Amit Tuteja Dy. Register shared that on the Ist Day. Famous ‘Nissi Band’ entertained the audience with their drastic performance, and on the last day. Sufi Singer Kanwar Grewal delighted the gathering with superb sufi songs.
Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Chairman and Jasmail Singh Dhaliwal, Chancellor lauded the efforts of staff and students for the grand success of Explorica 2018. The whole function was effectively compared by Proff. S.S. Kaurra, Dr. Kavita Choudhary, Dr. Sukhjeet Kaur and Dr. Shyam Kiran.
