GNDU Department of Physics will host Science Week Festival

Department of Physics, Guru Nanak Dev University under the able guidance and leadership of Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor is going to organize a Science Week Festival from 22nd-28th February, 2022. The event is supported by the state nodal agency Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and Vigyan Prasar under its flagship programme SCoPE “Science & Technology Communication, Popularization & its extension” under the aegis of Ministry of Culture and Office of the PSA, Government of India.
Themed around “75 Years of Independence”, 75 programs at 75 different locations all over India have been planned, GNDU being one of them.The festival willl traverse through the past, present and future of Indian Science & Technology. Prof. Dinesh Singh, Chancellor, K. R. Mangalam University, Gurgaon will inauguration the week-long festival on 22nd February 2022 at Guru Nanak Bhawan, GNDU.
The celebration at Guru Nanak Dev University are being coordinated by Dr. Bindiya Arora, Department of Physics which includes expert lectures from renowned scientists, book fair, science exposition, science flim screening, science magic show, release of science communication book and various competitions for school and college students. Grand finale of the festival is scheduled on 28th February followed by an open day for school and colleges students at the campus.
