GNDU nominated for ‘University of the Year Award’ by FICCI

Guru Nanak Dev University has been shortlisted for the University of the Year Award in the 16th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2021 organized by FICCI jointly with Ministry of Education and Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Out of 185 Higher Education Institutions of India, Guru Nanak Dev University was one amongst the top five universities nominated for the award in the category of ‘Universities inexistence more than 30 years’. The resilient, innovative, sustainable, and entrepreneurial practices were assessed by renowned jury members from India and abroad. The University has been shortlisted for this category in its first attempt only for its excellent work in higher education to highlight academic endeavour and research reflecting resilience, innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurial attitude even under pandemic conditions.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu has extended his thanks to FICCI for shortlisting the University for the award. He expressed his pleasure and satisfaction on the performance of the University and said that the hard work of teachers, researchers, employees and students of the University has propelled the University to higher peaks even during difficult times in the last year. He said that University has plans to provide the state of art equipment’s and labs to facilitate the teachers, researchers and students for innovation, research of international standards to uplift the University to higher peaks and earn such rewards.
GNDU nominated for ‘University of the Year Award’ by FICCI. Dr. Ashwani Luthra, Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the university mentioned that this award is another feather in the cap for Guru Nanak Dev University, which has earlier also found pride of place in the rankings done by many prestigious organizations.
