GNDU organized an online workshop on the use of RAx software

The School of Education of Guru Nanak Dev University organized an online session on the use of RAx software for boosting the research productivity for research scholars and professors. The workshop was organized in collaboration with RAx Labs and Balani Infotech to provide an enriching learning experience to the research community in the times of COVID-19. RAx team provided all the participants in the workshop with 3-month free access to their proprietary research software. This software helps researchers’ comprehending and analyzing their literature better and faster.
Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu the workshop was attended by 810 participants from various institutions and different parts of India actively participated. The workshop was initiated by Prof (Dr.) Amit Kauts, who is also the project coordinator, by addressing the participants and a prayer.
After the prayer, Prof. Amit gave the initial introduction of the presenters and coordinators. He encouraged and appreciated the research community for their participation in this workshop.
Dr. Sourish Dasgupta, CEO, and founder along with Shreyas Chaudhary Head of the product were the subject matter expert. The workshop was conducted on the ZOOM platform and was divided into three sessions. The first two sessions talked about the research methodologies and the importance of understanding the literature effectively, while the third session provided participants with an in-depth knowledge of the RAx software.
Dr. Sourish Dasgupta initiated the first session on the topic of “Innovative research methodologies to finding the research gaps”. In this session, he focussed on hands-on tips and methods to find the research gaps while doing research. He also conducted interactive polls, allowing participants to interact on the basis of their current workflow. In his second session, Dr. Dasgupta spoke on the topic “How to do literature comprehension better and faster”. During these sessions, he provided participants with the right framework to do literature analysis and comprehension. During both the sessions, the speaker answered queries and doubts asked by the participants in the most effective.
After the lunch break, the final session was lead by Shreyas Chaudhary. During this session, the participants were asked to log-in to their RAx accounts and follow the steps laid by the speaker to have hands-on training. Shreyas Chaudhary commanded this session with a RAx software tour and explained participants with the importance of the tool in doing effective research. He also answered the questions posted by participants in the live chat.
During the valedictory session, Prof (Dr.) MS. Bhatti and Prof (Dr.) Anita Rastogi expressed their views on the workshop. With their experienced lenses, both the members thanked the community for joining and put emphasis on the use of the software for the research work.
In the concluding remarks, Prof. Amit cause reflected the importance of digital software in the research and asked participants to make the best use of the technology to thrive forward. He thanked the speakers from RAx, Dr. Sourish Dasgupta, and Shreyas Chaudhary for sharing valuable information and all participants for their time.
