Dr. Narpinder Singh, a former professor at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) and the current Vice-Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed to be University, has been ranked among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide. This remarkable achievement places him among the most influential academics globally, with over 30 million scholars from 120,000 institutions in more than 200 countries considered for this recognition.

Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to the fields of agriculture and natural resources, particularly in food science and technology. His research has been widely cited, with over 32,000 citations on Google Scholar, and his h-index of 96 reflects the far-reaching impact of his work.

Key highlights of Dr. Singh’s achievements include: Ranked first in India and 278th globally among 523 scholars in agriculture and natural resources. There are four scholars in this area from India.  Other three scholars in this area are Dr M. N. V. Prasad, University of Hyderabad (ranked 279), Dr. Savarimuthu Ignacimuthu, St Xavier’s College, (ranked 403) and Dr. Chinnaswamy Anandharamakrishnan, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (ranked 521).  Dr Singh is ranked 57th globally among 67 scholars in the specific field of food science and technology and is the only scientist from India recognized in this category for lifetime research activity.
