Good News for Exporters-Postal department launches “Dakghar Niryaat Kendra” at Patiala Head Post office

Department post is always committed to serve the general public. Now Postal department is promoting the export through post offices which will help in boosting our India economy also.

Today Radhika Dhir Handa, Director Postal Service(HQ) Punjab circle has inaugurated “Dakghar Niryaat Kendra” at Patiala Head Post office. On the First day of opening, four Export firms of Patiala District have utilised the services. Prabhat Goyal, SPOs Patiala Division was also present.

This Niryaat Kendra is equipped with electronic custom clearance software. Now online  custom clearance will be obtained in seconds which took 5-7 days earlier. This will directly reduce the delivery time of foreign parcel/speed post.

Patiala is famous for  “Phulkari work. Department of Posts came forward for the help of local artisans, Phulkari Workers and Small Exporters by providing them a easier channel to earn money from export. More than 5-6 export firms of Patiala district and Fatehgarh Sahib district are in touch with Postal department for the said facility.

Director Postal Services has also inaugurated Bulk booking Counter at Patiala Head Post office to facilitate the bulk mailers like Banks, Insurance Companies, State Government Departments, sellers of ecommerce websites, Advocates etc .Bulk Mailers can get special discount of 10% to 30% based on the volume of articles.
