Government Bikram College conducts activities under National Road Safety Month

The Red Cross and NSS Units of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala organised various programs under National Road Safety Month according to the directions issued by the Directorate of Higher Education and under the dynamic leadership of the College Principal Pr (Dr.)Kusum Lata
Eminent personalities were called upon for various extension lectures to aware students about traffic rules, Il effects of Drug abuse and First Aid. Declamation, Poster Making, Nukkad Natak and signature campaign were the activities in which about 170 students participated.
Kaka Ram Verma (Eminent social worker )gave valuable practical information about First Aid .State Awardee Traffic Incharge Gurjaap Singh (Retd) suggested students to follow traffic rules, Parminder Kaur (Project Director, De-addiction centre, Saket Hospital, Patiala shared with students the ill effects of Drug abuse .
Ashish Sharma (Managing Director, Hira Maruti Suzuki, India Ltd) and Ashish Verma (President ,Dedicated Brothers Group )motivated students to save lives on road.
The Program was coordinated by Dr Tarandeep Kaur (in charge Red Cross unit GBC)The winners of poster making competition were Arshpreet kaur , Haripal Singh, Rajinder Kaur and Navdeep Kaur, Raman Sharma, Manya and Poonam bagged positions in Declamation contest . The winners were awarded prizes and were congratulated by the College Principal.
