Government Bikram College of Commerce commemorates National Voters Day with Enthusiastic Celebration

Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala marked National Voters Day on January 25, 2024.The event, organised under the guidance of College Principal Prof (Dr.) Kusum Lata adhering strictly to the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India and the Directorate of Higher Education, Punjab centred around the theme “Nothing like voting, I will vote for sure,” emphasizing the importance of active civic participation.
The students enthusiastically participated in activities like slogan writing, poster making and an awareness rally. The slogan writing and poster making competition showcased a diverse range of artistic expressions, all focusing on the significance of casting votes.
The program organised by SVEEP incharge Dr.Rajni Bala had the objective to inculcate constitutional obligations among staff and the students to create awareness about Universal Franchise. A pledge ceremony was held at the end of the program. About 250 students participated in the event and the outcome of the program that the staff and the students undertook the importance of Right to vote.
