Govt. Bikram College of Commerce hold Annual Prize Distribution Function

The Annual Prize Distribution of Govt. Bikram College of Commerce was held in the college premises in a befitting manner under the supervision of Principal Dr. Harminder Kaur. On this auspicious occasion, prizes of the sessions 2017-18 were given to the students. Mandeep Singh Sidhu, P.P.S., Senior Superintendent of Police , Joined as the chief guest of the occasion.

Govt. Bikram College of Commerce hold Annual Prize Distribution Functionin her report Principal acclaimed the excellent academic results of this year. The students of M.Com-I have achieved 07 positions among the top ten positions in the university merit list and students of B.Com-III  have secured five positions among the top ten positions in the university merit list.

On this occasion, the chief guest Mandeep Singh Sidhu congratulated the principal for the spectacular achievements of the students and distributed the prizes to the students of various fields- academics, NCC, NSS, sports, cultural etc. The Chief Guest awarded 13 Role of Honor in academics, 41 college color and 115 Merit Certificates to the students.

Govt Bikram(P.G) College of Commerce is one  of the leading colleges of commerce in the entire  northern region situated in the princely city of Patiala.The college is an epitome of glory & grandeur in the field of commerce. This pioneer institution was established at Faridkot in 1945 by His Majesty, Raja Harinder Singh of Faridkot State in the memory of his grandfather Maharaja Bikram Singh (Jan., 1842-Aug., 1898.)

In 1955, the college was shifted to Patiala from Faridkot. Initially, the college was affiliated to Panjab University and later it got affiliated to Punjabi University in 1962. It is the only single faculty prestigious College of Commerce in the State of Punjab. The founder Principal was S. Gurdit Singh Dhillon, who was Ph.D. from California, USA.
