Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala celebrated 75th Independence Day

Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala under the able guidance of Principal Prof (Dr)Kusum Lata and in accordance with the directions of the Govt. of India celebrated 75th “Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav” in the college campus.
The Programme started with the Hoisting of the National Flag by the principal in presence of all teaching , non teaching members of the staff and students. A video depicting the Indian Struggle for freedom was shown on the screen to the students in the Multipurpose Hall. An open quiz on importance of Indian Independence and the National Flag was conducted.
The students enthusiastically participated in the quiz competition .An oath ceremony taking the pledge of respecting the National Flag was conducted by Dr. Jaspreet Kaur.
The award for the best selfie with tricolour Flag was awarded to Parvesh Kumar (B.C.A. III). The NSS Program Officer Dr. Jyoti Tirthani was present with NSS Volunteers. Dr. Apra (Asst. Prof.) thanked everyone present on the occasion.
The other present were members of Deaf and Dumb Club, Prof. Ram Kumar, Sukhbir Kaur, Dr. Paramjit Kaur, Dr. Rekha Rani, Dr. Reetu Kapoor and Mrs. Shashi Bala alongwith all members of teaching & non teaching staff. The program ended with National Anthem and distribution of sweets among the students.
