The NSS units of Govt. Bikram college of Commerce,  Patiala are conducting a seven days (Day and Night) camp under the able guidance of college Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata from 22-1-2023 to 28-1-2023.

The NSS camp started with NSS prayers. The volunteers were divided into groups and a leader was assigned for each group with the view to teach them leadership qualities. Each group was allotted a different duty.

A Massive cleanliness drive was carried out in the college campus in which all the NSS volunteers participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. A visit was made adopted village, had consultation with the Sarpanch and the residents about the problems being faced by them.

Day 1 concluded with a cultural hour and a motivational speech by senior Program officer Pr Ram Kumar highlighting the importance of team work, unity and motivating students to work for humanity. Day 2 was assigned for a visit to the adopted village.

The NSS volunteers along with the program officers visited village Ucha Gaon. Fun games were organized for the students of Elementary School in the village. Cleanliness Drive was carried out in the school and the village lanes spreading the message of clean environment.

An awareness rally against stubble burning, drugs and embracing the culture of Punjab was carried out. The efforts of the volunteers were appreciated by Sarpanch Lala Khan. The school Head Master Kuldeep Singh thanked the program officers and the NSS Volunteers for conducting such activities for the students of his school.
