Govt Bikram College’s Rotaract Club participated in Free Eye & Medical Camp organised by Mahakali Charitable Trust

The Rotaract Club of Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala,on 20 February 2026,enthusiastically participated in the 21stFree Eye & Medical Camp under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata.

The camp was organised by the Mahakali Charitable Trust, Patiala and Shri Hanuman Mandir Satsang Mandal Trust. The event was held at Shri Hanuman Mandir, Rajpura Road near Aggarsain Hospital, Patiala and offered free medical services to the local community. This initiative was supported by the esteemed alumnus of the college CA Rajiv Goyal and the Club Incharge Dr. Reetu Kapoor.

The camp focused on providing free eye examinations and general health checkups. A total of 250 patients were treated during the event, with many benefiting from eye checkups.It was conducted by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals led by Dr. Varinder Garg(M.S. Ophth). The college Principal appreciated the sincere efforts of the Rotaract Club and the collaborating organisations for organising such a meaningful initiative. She emphasised that educational institutions must actively contribute to society beyond academics and encouraged students to uphold the values of compassion, serviceand social responsibility through continued participation in community welfare programmes.Dr Reetu Kapoor congratulated the organisers for the grand success of the camp and applauded the dedicated medical team for their selfless service.

Among the distinguished dignitaries present were Inderjit Mahajan, Chairman of Mahakali Charitable Trust; Mayor Kundan Gogia; members of the Hanuman Mandir Trust; representatives from SDKS; and members of Bharat Vikas Parishad. Their presence added significance and encouragement to the noble initiative.
