Govt Model Pheel Khana students visited Govt Bikram College for an educational tour

Students from Govt. Model Pheel Khana Senior Secondary School, Patiala visited Govt. Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala for an educational tour. The visit was organised for the enlightenment of the students by Asst. Prof. Vivek Sindhi under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Kusum Lata.
The Principal in her message blessed the students and motivated them to pursue higher education with dedication and make the right career choices for a bright future. She also highlighted the importance of practical exposure and career awareness at the school level. She emphasized that such visits bridge the gap between school and college education, helping students make informed academic choices.
Dr. Reetu Kapoor , Member Secretary, HEIS warmly welcomed Dr. Sangeeta Sharma, Lecturer in Economics, who accompanied the students on this visit. She introduced the staff members to the students and expressed that such visits help students understand college life and encourage them to set academic goals.
Asst. Prof Vivek Sindhi, HOD Commerce shared information about the various courses offered by the college, student clubs, scholarships and co-curricular activities. The students were also shown the college infrastructure, including the computer labs, library, canteen and sports grounds.
IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Rekha Rani appreciated the initiative, remarking that exposure to higher education institutions inspires young minds to dream big.
Senior Tutor Dr. Harsimran Kaur and Asst. Prof. Ritika Maini provided detailed information about the BCA courses, while Dr. Swati briefed the students about the BBA courses. Asst. Prof. Vivek Sindhi and Asst. Prof. Kusum Rani oriented them about B.Com.
The visit concluded with sumptuous refreshment for the students, leaving them inspired and enthusiastic about their future academic journey. Asst. Prof. Pawanpreet kaur, Asst. Prof. Dilpreet kaur, Dr. Paramjeet kaur, Dr. Tarandeep kaur, Asst. Prof. Ravinder Sharma, Asst Prof. Gazal, Dr. Meenakshi were also present on this occasion.
