Govt nominates 3 members for Punjabi University Syndicate

Punjab Government has re nominated three members from different fields for the syndicate body of Punjabi University.
Chancellor of the university and Governor of Punjab VP Badnore, cleared the file, forwarded by the Chief Minister with his recommendation.
The members include Rajesh Sharma, working journalist with Hind Samachar Group, Harinderpal Singh Mann (Harry Mann) who contested from Sanour as Congress nominee and former Information Commissioner and Major AP Singh, Nabha (retd.) for one year. The syndicate body is chaired by Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor Professor BS Ghuman.
The syndicate is a supreme body of the University. In this three members were nominated by the govt.,three members were elected by the senate from its members, three members were from the colleges-principals affiliated with Punjabi University , Secy Education Punjab, DPI,Director languages department Punjab, dean academic affairs, dean students welfare etc. The syndicate is headed by the Vice Chancellor of the university who is the chairman of the syndicate.
