The Drug Menace has resulted in increase in the crime rates against the women as well as elder. He cited many cases where the druggist killed his own father and mother resulting in total disintegration of the Society. He suggested that the parents, teachers, and media can play an important role in prevention of this menace.
Amardeep Singh Dharni said that the drug menace can only be checked and eliminated if both the state and central governments take joint initiatives with the support of public.
Prof. Prit Pal Singh Vice-chancellor of the University observed that the religion, as well as teachers can play a major role in the elimination of drug menace.
