H.S Bhullar explained in Depth about the causes and effects as well as the various methods of prevention of drugs abuse. He observed that from his 31 years of experience, he found that the greatest threat in Punjab is from the drug abuse and not from any other major source. The involvement of youth at large in the drugs has made the youth totally frustrated and jobless. It has resulted in the unemployment of youth and makes their condition deplorable

The involvement of youth in drugs according to him is   attributed to improper monitoring by parents in the adolescent stage of a child as well as exposing them to the vulnerable songs based on Drugs and Weapons. The Drug Menace has resulted in increase in the crime rates against the women as well as  elder. He cited many cases where the druggist killed his own father and mother resulting in total disintegration of the Society. He suggested that the parents, teachers, and media can play an important role in prevention of this menace.

Amardeep Singh Dharni said that the drug menace can only be checked and eliminated if both the state and central governments take joint initiatives with the support of public.
