GUEST COLUMN: Rising Iran-US tensions, Iran warns US of ‘regret-inducing’ response-Sazia

Iran had warned United States of America (USA) that it is fully prepared for the aggression if America attacks. It is ready to give a powerful and excruciating response to US. This happened after the US navy’s USS Abraham Lincoln carrier reportedly entered Middle East amid escalating war tensions with Iran. This move by them brought a possibility that US will attack Iran in upcoming days.
America has sent ‘armada’ towards Iran near Gulf as a warning. “We have a lot of ships going in that direction — just in case; I’d rather not see anything happen, but we’re watching them closely.”, says Trump. In a way, Trump warned that America is actually watching their actions closely. He is trying to generate a fear in the mind of citizens of Iran.
Iran is also distraught as it’s currency has fallen greatly. Now in unofficial markets, a US dollar is equal to more than 1.48 million rials. It means Iran carries immense economic trouble in it probably due to fear of war.
Iran (Tehran) is on high alert. Iran’s top leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has shifted to a secure underground location due to the fear of attack. His son has taken a charge of his regular office work temporarily. In reality, Iran is actually worried, but it is not showing that to the US.
Conditions in Iran are deteriorating day by day. Iran is also facing internal protests. The actual number is not confirmed, but it has been claimed that more than 6000 people have already died since December in a government crackdown on these protests.
