Gulneet Singh Khurana takes over as Rupnagar SSP

Gulneet Singh Khurana took over as senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Rupnagar district today.
The 2012 batch IPS officer Gulneet Singh Khurana has previously served as SSP districts Bathinda, Fazilka, Mansa, Pathankot, Amritsar (Rural), Tarn Taran and Moga etc.
While addressing the media after assuming the charge, Gulneet Singh Khurana said that he will perform his services with full responsibility to maintain peace and tranquility in the district.
He said that soon he will visit the entire area and police stations and cameras will be installed at different places in the district as per requirement. Apart from this, traffic problem will be addressed and night patrolling will be ensured at some places.
He said that mining in the district will be allowed only according to the law, while illegal mining will be dealt with strictly and no one associated with it will be spared.
Overloaded tippers, vehicles without number plates will be impounded on the spot to ensure that any crime is prevented before it occurs.
He appealed to the residents of the district and said that if any citizen faces any problem or has any complaint, they can inform them or senior officials and also contact on 112 number so that immediate action can be taken.
On this occasion Gulneet Singh Khurana was given a guard of honor by the police force.
