Gurinder of Khalsa College selected for 26 Jan parade

A student of Khalsa College, Patiala got selected for the parade going to be held on Republic Day. The selection was done out of the volunteers of N.S.S. by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India.

Indermohan Singh Bajaj, Additional Secretary of Governing Council of the college, congratulated the entire team of N.S.S. and said that it is a matter of pride for the college that its student will represent Punjab in the Republic Day Parade.

Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college while congratulating Gurinder Singh said that Republic Day Parade Camp going to be run from 1st January to 31st January, 2018 hold the motive of constituting the bond of patriotism, National Integration, Brotherhood, Communal Harmony and Religious Tolerance among the students.Such camps are highly beneficial for imparting leadership skills and personality development in the students.

Programme officers of N.S.S. Prof. Sapna, Dr. Jagtar Singh and Prof. Rajbinder Singh while telling about the process of selection said that 160 best talented and outstanding N.S.S. volunteers are selected to participate in the parade and the whole country gets divided into five zones for this process. Various selection procedures are adopted to select the best volunteers. It provides the students ample opportunities for their overall personality development.
