Author Gurprem Lehri’s new book ‘Nagaland – East’s Switzerland was released at Teachers Home Bathinda.

The ceremony of offering the book to the public was performed by Satish Verma, Samuel Johan, Prof. Rajinder Singh Brar, Rajiv Sharma and Khushwant Bargari.

Satish Verma said that as long as such books continue to be published in Punjabi literature, Punjabi literature will continue to proliferate. He welcomed the book.

Actor Samuel John said that many misconceptions were spread about Nagaland that Naga people lives nude and eat the people. In such a situation, a book comes in which Nagaland is called Switzerland of the East. This is truly a resounding answer to these misconceptions.

Khushwant Bargari said that there is a dearth of travelogues in Punjabi. If we talk about North-East, then its travelogues are negligible. In such a situation, this book by Gurprem Lehri will prove to be a good step in Punjabi literature.

Senior IAS Varinder Sharma said about this book that in this book, the Nagaland travelogue seen during the motorcycle trip has been included, while the research work on the origin and development of the tribes of Nagaland is also included.

Bhupinder Mann said that he was also part of this journey and has traveled to Nagaland on a motorcycle. He said that this book will prove to be a boon for those fond of travelling as there is so much written information about North-East.
