The Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Prof. (Dr.) Karamjeet Singh, extended his heartfelt greetings to the university’s teaching staff, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Purb, commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

In his address, he encouraged the community to embrace the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji as a guide to living a meaningful and successful life. He praised the Guru’s unparalleled contributions, calling him a “Benevolent Giver” (Sarbans Dani), “Man without Equal” (Mard Agamda), and a visionary who was a divine messenger, warrior, poet, and philosopher. Prof. Singh highlighted Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s emphasis on living with self-respect, prioritizing service over self-interest, and treating all people equally, irrespective of religion, caste, or race. He urged the community to adopt the Guru’s principles, including the belief in one God beyond distinctions of form, color, or caste, to foster unity and create a better society.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s teachings are timeless guide for leading a life of purpose and creating a harmonious society- Prof Karamjeet Singh added “as we celebrate Parkash Purv of 10th Guru Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, who is remembered as Sarbans Dani (the merciful donor, who sacrificed his all), Mard Agamra (man without any parallels), Shah-e-Shahenshah (emperor of emperors), Bar do Alam Shah (ruler of both worlds), divine messenger, Warrior, Poet, and Philosopher. Throughout the chronicles of human history, there has been no individual who lived a life more inspirational than Guru Gobind Singh Ji.”
