Guru Nanak Dev University begins admissions for Session 2026–27; online registration for more than 135+ programmes to begin

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) has announced admissions for the academic session 2026–27 for more than 135 programmes offered at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate levels across its main and regional campuses.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Karamjeet Singh highlighted that GNDU, the only university in Punjab to receive Category-I status, continues to maintain academic excellence with an A++ grade accreditation (CGPA 3.85/4.0) by NAAC, the highest among universities in India. The university has also been conferred the prestigious status of “University with Potential for Excellence” by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Furthermore, he emphasized that the university remains committed to delivering quality education aligned with global academic and industry standards. GNDU is continuously expanding its academic portfolio through innovative, research-driven, and career-oriented programmes designed to meet the evolving needs of students and industries alike.

Moreover, the Vice Chancellor noted that the admission process has been designed to be transparent, student-friendly, and easily accessible for applicants from across India and abroad. He also assured that students would receive complete guidance and support throughout the admission process.

Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Harvinder Singh Saini informed that admissions are open for a diverse range of programmes, including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Five-Year Integrated, Diploma, and Certificate courses. In addition, the university is offering programmes supported by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

These programmes will be available at the GNDU  main campus in Amritsar as well as at its regional campuses in Jalandhar and Gurdaspur.

Meanwhile, online registration for all programmes will commence from May 8, 2026 through the university admission portal. Detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, admission schedules, fee structure, scholarships, and provisions for Foreign/NRI candidates is available in the university prospectus and on the official GNDU website.

Admissions to LL.B. (3-Year) and B.A. LL.B. (5-Year) programmes will be conducted through centralized counselling. Separate notifications regarding Ph.D. admissions will be issued later. Students have been advised to regularly visit the university website for the latest updates and admission-related announcements.
