Guru Nanak Foundation Public, Patiala bagged first prize in working model , third prize for poster making and consolation prize for static model in the Inter Institutional Science Fair was held at Multani Mal Modi College on the eve of Modi Jayanti. The theme for the working model was ‘ Technology for future : – Aquaponics ‘ . Mehakpreet Singh, Sumeet Singh and Sehajpal Singh of class XI C bagged First prize in working model. Narinder Singh of class 10 E and Gurpreet Singh of class IX B bagged third prize in poster making Competition related to the theme Environment. Kulraj Singh , Varshpreet Singh and Gurpreet Singh of class X E bagged consolation prizes in the static model with the theme “ Save Earth Our Mother Planet “ . H.S. Reddy, Dean Research from Thapar University was the Chief Guest. All the winners have been awarded with trophies and certificates. Principal Renu Hanspal appreciated the winners for their marvelous achievements and motivated other students to participate in such kind of activities.
Inter Institutional Science Fair
Inter Institutional Science Fair was held at Multani Mal Modi College on the eve of Modi Jayanti. A competition was held for Static Models, Working Models and Poster Presentation on the theme ‘Science for Mankind’. Around 260 students from different schools and colleges participated in the Science fair. Dr. Khushvinder Kumar, Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, Judges, teachers and participants of various competing institutes and said that such exhibitions and fairs are imperative to promote critical thinking regarding global issues and encourage the students to use design and creativity to showcase their scientific and technological skills. Dr. Reddy appreciated the organizers and the participants for this endeavor. He further said that such events foster scientific temper among the students. Dr. Ashwani Sharma, Coordinator, introduced the theme of the fair.
Dr. R.S.Singh, Dr. Karamjeet Singh and Dr. D.P. Singh were the judges for the College Category competitions while Dr. Manjeet Singh, Prof. Akshita Dhaliwal, Prof. (Dr.) Neena Singla and Prof. (Dr.) Ambika Beri performed as judges for the School Category presentations.
