Harpreet Kaur of GNDU awarded with Young Scientist Award

Harpreet Kaur, Ph.D. scholar under the supervision of Dr. Bindiya Arora, Department of Physics of Guru Nanak Dev University has been awarded ‘Young Scientist Award’ with a citation, medal and cash prize of Rs. 7500 by 25th Punjab Science Congress held at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Sri Anandpur Sahib under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala on Future Endeavors of Science and Technology for Sustainable Growth.
Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS) provided a platform where senior scientists and young researchers in the region interacted and shared their expertise in different disciplines of Science & Technology.
Punjab Academy of Sciences (PAS) with a motto of ‘Science for peace and prosperity’ presents this award every year to the young researchers or scientists who are making extensive contribution for the development and promotion of Research in the different scientific fields.
The three day conference took place on an online platform where number of researchers all over the Punjab and neighbouring states participated. The valedictory session was conducted at Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Sri Anandpur Sahib addressed by Prof. Arvind, Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala. Dr. D. P. Singh, head of the Physics department congratulated her on receiving the prestigious award.
