Under the banner of Pension Bahali Sangharsh Samiti ( PBSS) , government employees including power utilities  employees on Sunday held a pension protest  “ akrosh march” in Hisar on Sunday   demanding the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme  for all state government employees.    Employees joined the march wearing black clothes demanding restoration of the old pension. During this, the employees warned to surround the Chief Minister’s residence on September 1 if the old pension is not restored.

Employees wearing black clothes gathered at Kabir Hostel in Azad Nagar on Sunday morning under the leadership of District President Dinesh Sharma Pabra . During this Pension Bahali Sangharsh Samiti state president Vijender Dhaliwal  and state general secretary Rishi Nain said that before the Lok Sabha elections, the PBSS  had warned the government and gave the slogan of Vote for OPS. The government did not pay any heed to it and the government employees showed the result to the government in the Lok Sabha elections. If the government does not implement OPS in future, then in the upcoming assembly elections, once again under Vote for OPS, the government employees will not take long to oust the current party from power. The Chief Minister’s residence will be surrounded in Panchkula on September 1.

The Haryana government employees have been seeking restoration of the Old Pension Scheme ever since it was discontinued in 2007. They have intensified the demand ever since  neighboring Rajasthan in 2022 announced restoration of the Old Pension Scheme.
